UC New State-of-the-Art Campus

25 October 2011 (Phnom Penh) – The University of Cambodia (UC) is pleased to announce its official relocation to the new, custom-designed campus.  This 11-story, state-of-the-art facility opened its doors to faculty, staff, and students on 24 October 2011.  With ample space, members of the UC community can enjoy the wonders of this architectural beauty, which displays an impressive blend of historic Angkor design with modern-day comfort.

The new UC campus also has plans to build a separate 21st century library building. That library will be located on the same complex, and provides access to the latest and greatest material and technological resources.  In the near future, the UC library will be opened 24 hours to the public.  Clearly, this plays a huge role in aiding young minds in the acquisition and later transmission of knowledge. UC has a lofty goal of training the next generation of academic thinkers and practical leaders, and these new facilities only make said goals possible. Also earmarked are new buildings to house the up-coming School of Government and International Affairs and College of Media and Communications.

The new UC campus is located at Sleng Roleung Village, Sangkat Toek Thla, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia. It is adjacent to the Southeast Asia Television Station (SEATV).

This massive venture would not have been possible without the generous support of our Chancellor, Dr. Haruhisa Handa. Dr. Handa has been a long-time friend of UC, and we thank him sincerely.  We hope that the UC community and general public will benefit greatly from these new developments.
