On Friday, February 4, 2011, Distinguished Professor Wang Yong will visit the University of Cambodia (UC). Professor Wang is a renowned scholar in the field of Japanese and Chinese Studies, particularly in terms of culture, exchanges, and history. He has played an integral role in the advancement of academic and empirical knowledge, throughout the region and globe. UC recognizes Professor Wang’s many accomplishments in the field of Japanese and Chinese Studies, and is honored that he will visit its campus in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
He will be accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Yang Han-ing. Professor Wang Yong will discuss the possibility of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies setting up the Department of Cambodian Studies with UC. He will also explore what they can do to assist UC in setting up a Chinese Studies or Japanese Studies program.
